Haymar Khaing is a formally trained teacher with a Bachelor in Education from Yangon Institute of Education. Haymar currently works as a freelance curriculum developer and trainer in the specialization of Social Cohesion and Peace studies in Myanmar. She worked for Search for Common Ground, an international organisation that promotes the peaceful resolution of conflict, as a Curriculum Development Specialist. Under her leadership over 300 local government officials, community leaders, women and youth in Rakhine State have received specialised training in peacebuilding and conflict transformation. Haymar is a passionate environmental activist and seeks to explore the connection between environmental stewardship and peacebuilding.
