Riikka Marjamäki is Head of Development Process at CMI where she leads several projects. CMI is an independent Finnish organisation that works to prevent and resolve violent conflicts through dialogue and mediation. During the past 20 years, the organisation has grown to become one of the leaders in its field. Riikka Marjamäki has had a key role in developing the organisation and for the past 10 years, she has been involved with CMI’s Global Education project Ahtisaari Days, where CMI works with young people. Marjamäki has been in different roles at CMI and acted previously as the Head of the Office of President Ahtisaari.  Riikka holds a master’s degree in International Politics from the University of Tampere. Prior to joining CMI she has worked as a teacher and has work experience from various human rights and women’s rights organisations.
